I am running the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon in memory of my dear friend and an amazing lady, Samantha Kurkjy. If I could change one thing about ovarian cancer, it would be to make early detection possible and raise awareness of the disease. Ovarian cancer is often detected too late because its symptoms are subtle and there is no reliable early screening test. To Every Amazing Lady: listen to your body and advocate for yourself when something doesn’t feel right. You deserve to be heard, cared for and supported. To Sam: “Fun Run Race for the Cure!”
